8.2.6 Transport Station
Once again escaping de-resolution, and even managing to retrieve his Identity Disc, Jet now finds himself in a Transport Station. Mercury is onboard a docked Transport, and informs Jet that he needs to release the Mooring Apps so he can board it and leave this part of the system. Ma3a awaits at their destination.

After talking to Ma3a, Byte, and Mercury, you receive two build points at the beginning of the level.
Three ICPs will then enter the local port. They need to be taken care of ASAP.
2.7.6

Turn left, and head down this short hallway.

Stand in the doorway located on your right, to attract the ICPs' attention. As soon as they spot you, move to the left and back up.

Wait for the ICPs to stand in the doorway, then take them out with your disc. The third ICP may remain behind the door, forcing you to come out, but at least now it will be a one-on-one match. Don't forget to pick up the core dumps.
Notice the energy patch here. We'll be coming back to it shortly.

Go through the door and pass the blocks on your right. Turn right, to face the port. Sometimes you'll find a build note here.
1/5 2.7.8

Turn around, and walk past both stacks of blocks on your left. Turn left, to face the second stack. You'll see an archive bin.

Download both items in the bin. One of them will be a Gold upgrade for your virus scan subroutine.

After downloading, move to the left. Your health has probably taken a beating from the fight with the ICPs. Use the health patch in the corner, behind the third stack of blocks.

Downloading the items from the bin also drained your energy, so return to the energy patch now and recharge yourself.

Head back through the door. Turn left, and make your way down either passage at the end of the room. They both re-join and lead to the same corridor, ahead.

Move down to the end of this next corridor, until you see a large room ahead. Stop here, and quick save your game (F5 key).
When you enter the next room, an ICP up to the left on the next level will spot you, and call for backup. If you wanted to, you could install the LOL subroutine in your memory and snipe him. However, I've found this doesn't work very well. Even if you nail that ICP, others in the area will notice. So it's really not worth the bother.

Once you've entered the room, you need to move quickly. Turn right, and walk past the blocks.

Once past the blocks, turn right again and move through the opening on the right. Keep moving quickly.

When you reach the top, an ICP will either be nearby or off to the right. Take him out first.

Next, two more ICPs will attack. Do yourself a favor and stay right where you are, but move so you're snug up against the left wall.
One of the ICPs has a greater amount of health and fires sequencers, which makes him a very formidable opponent. Take him out first, by repeatedly firing your disc at his head. Staying snug against the wall, should limit his field of attack. Now take out the other ICP.

It may be necessary to step out into the open, if the ICPs don't come running. If you find that you have to approach them, there's a trick you can use to protect yourself, particularly from the sequencer ICP.
Head to the left, and stand behind the control panel for the energy bridge. It will help deflect most of the ICPs' discs, while still leaving you a narrow field to fire off your own disc.

If you've been fortunate, you haven't encountered the finder on patrol yet. It travels back and forth in a straight line, just behind the blocks.

Always take out finders with extreme prejudice. Just don't get too close when you do it.

Move to the left past the stack of blocks, until you're near the energy bridge with the control panel. Be sure to pick up the core dumps from the ICPs on the way, one of them will contain a permission you need. Cross the bridge now.

Turn right on the other side. Sometimes you'll find a build note here.
2/5 2.8.0

Turn around, and head for the nearby archive bin. As you can see, you'll sometimes find a build note behind the bin.

Move to the bin now, downloading Permission 3 and the Viral Shield. Your recently acquired Gold virus scan will automatically disinfect the corrupted viral shield.

When you're done, cross the bridge again and turn left. Head all the way down to the end of the second stack of blocks on the left.

Once you reach the second stack, turn left. Here's another archive bin with an e-mail you can download. Quick save your game before continuing.

Turn right again, and head to the end of this platform, to the next control panel seen in the distance.

There's a chance an ICP on the other side will spot you, and attack. If so, make sure to take him out. You could again use the control panel as a makeshift shield to protect yourself from his disc. Use the panel to activate the energy bridge.
Note that a build note can sometimes be found here. Grab it if it's there, before crossing the bridge.

In case the ICP didn't spot you on the other side, once you reach his side it's likely you'll soon encounter him, coming from the corridor ahead.

If so, wait beside the opening until he shows. Then simply nail him with the disc in the head. Next, move to the right and use the health patch to restore your battered health points.
After crossing the bridge, you'll notice that Mercury is pinging you. For the time being, we're going to ignore that. There's something else we need to do first. Head back across the bridge.

Travel back down the ramp you used earlier.

Once you reach the bottom of the ramp and turn left, move past the small stack of blocks. Stand approximately where the arrow points, at the edge of the platform.

Stand in line with the second force field covered opening, on the left. Study the pattern of the blocks that come out of that force field, and travel upward. When you notice a long gap between blocks, the cycle is repeating. Quick save your game now.
If you notice this gap, wait for the first block in the next cycle to move up past you. You want to jump onto any of the subsequent blocks, before the next long gap. May as well jump on the second block. But be careful, it's very easy to miss a block and fall to your death here.

As you ride one of the blocks, you'll rise to a certain height, then the block will shift direction and start moving to the left. If you kept facing forward, you'd notice a ledge up here that you can jump on. For now, we're going to ignore that ledge. We'll be coming back very soon, though.
Keep riding the block, and face the left when it begins to move in that direction. Notice the archive bin off in the distance, to the left. That's our objective. Quick save your game again.

When you reach the line of ascending blocks, simply walk off your moving block onto the closest new block. Don't jump.

If you make it safely onto the first block, quick save your game once again. Now jump up the next three blocks, carefully.

Once on top of the third block, quick save your game yet again. You should be quick saving every few blocks at this point, because the risk of falling is very high. For the next block, simply walk onto it again.

After safely making it to the next block, turn right and look up. You can now access the archive bin. Download the unknown subroutine. You should already have the permission.

Port the foreign subroutine, and you'll discover it to be a Sequencer upgrade for your disc. It will allow you to throw more than one disc at a time, which will become very useful, in short order.
To make room for it in your memory, replace the suffusion subroutine with the sequencer. Suffusion is a relatively weak and inaccurate weapon, not worth using very often.

Turn left, and jump on the next five blocks in the order shown, until you reach the nearby ledge. Remember to keep quick saving until you reach the end.

On the last block, turn right to face the ledge. You'll see an energy patch. Jump onto the ledge, and take the opportunity to recharge yourself.

Turn left, and make your way all the way to the end of this ledge.

You'll need to move to the left end of the ledge, and jump over to the right side, where the down arrow is pointing. Quick save your game again, before doing so. As you may notice, sometimes a build note appears on the structure sticking out from the wall.
Don't jump on to the floating block ahead, it's too far to reach and you'll fall to your death.

Take the build note if it's here, then jump on the floating blocks in the order shown. Quick save your game before doing so.
3/5 2.8.2

Jump off this last floating block, onto the ledge.

Follow this ledge all the way to the end, until your path is blocked by a wall.

Look down, and you'll notice a small lip that sticks out from the ledge. Stand there and wait, until you notice a gold colored block coming out of the force field on the left. When the gold block reaches the lip, step onto it.

The gold block will take you past the wall, so you can get back to that first ledge we skipped earlier. Be sure to jump off the block, before it passes through the force field on the right.

Over to the left, you'll sometimes find a build note. This is also where an optimizer makes its home.

Use the optimizer to upgrade your Power Block subroutine.

Turn around, and watch for the stack of blocks that rise up, one of which you rode earlier. Again, keep track of the pattern of the blocks. If there's a large gap, that means the cycle is repeating. Quick save your game. When the cycle repeats, make sure to drop on to the first block.

This block will carry you across, back to where the ledge with the energy patch is. Be sure to jump off, before the block goes into the opening.

Turn left, and make your way back to the end of this ledge. Repeat the same steps from earlier, to cross over to the next ledge.

When you're there, again follow the ledge all the way to the end, and stand next to the lip.

This time, when a red block reaches the lip, step onto it.

Turn around, and wait until you see the platform below. Step off the block when it's almost level with the platform.

Head through the corridor on the left now. When you reach the end, you'll see an I/O node on the wall ahead. Approach the node, and activate it.

You receive two build points for talking with Mercury. She explains that you need to remove the Mooring Apps, in order for the Transport to leave. Mercury sends you a help file, to show you what they look like.
2.8.4

Turn right, walk to the end of the hall, then turn left.

Travel through the right opening, between the blocks. If you haven't switched your weapon to the sequencer, do it now. Quick save your game.

Move to the edge of the blocks on the left, and take a look to see if an ICP is nearby. There's a chance one will be standing near the openings ahead.
If so, he'll probably spot you, and you'll be forced to deal with him.

Turn right. On the block directly ahead, you'll sometimes find a build note.
4/5 2.8.6

On top of the block, turn to your left. Sometimes a build note will be hiding behind this stack, in the corner.

After dropping off the block, wait here for a while. Eventually, a finder will show itself between the blocks, where the arrow shows.

When the finder appears, destroy it immediately, before you take too much damage.

If you didn't encounter that ICP yet, destroying the finder will attract his attention. Take care of him, and grab his core dump.

After picking up the core dump, up to two more ICPs will attack. One of them could be a sequencer ICP. Remember, these guys are really deadly. Take him out fast by using your sequencer, and aim for his head!

Once the remaining ICPs are eliminated, move ahead and just to the right of the blocks in front of you. Notice the archive bin, and the energy patch in the distance. Head for the patch, if you need to recharge.

Jump up the blocks to reach the patch, and use it to recharge.

After dropping down the blocks, look up to the left. Sometimes you'll see a build note on top of next stack. Jump up where the arrows indicate, and grab the note if it's there.

Move to the archive bin. Unfortunately, you can't download the e-mail inside just yet.

Turn around, and move just past the blocks, bringing you near the end of this large platform.

Head to where the down pointing arrow shows.

To get to the archive bin in the distance, you need to jump up the blocks in the order shown. After reaching point 2, walk forward toward the smaller suspended block, then turn left and walk across to point 3.

Quick save your game. Jump over to the other stack of blocks. Be careful, because floating blocks move toward you, overhead.
You could end up jumping and hit one of those blocks, causing you to fall and take damage. Time your jump so that when you do it, there's a gap between those blocks.

Turn right, and download the e-mail from the bin. You should already have the permission.

Walk left, and drop down to the ground. Move to the right a little, and turn left. Sometimes you'll find a build note next to the blocks.

Turn left again, and head up the ramp indicated by the arrow.

Move to where the arrow shows, and jump up on the block.

Download both the items in the bin.

Turn around, and head back to the bin you found earlier, with the e-mail you couldn't download. You now have the permission needed to retrieve it. Do it now, so you don't forget about it later.

On the way, stop by the large glowing console display. Sometimes you'll discover a build note, hidden under the blocks ahead.

Download the e-mail. Once you've done that, go all the way back to where you just were, at the archive bin with the permission you needed for this bin.

Once you're there, quick save your game, then walk past the blocks and head left.

You'll find a doorway, and when you approach it you'll see two ICPs talking. Listen in on their conversation, for a laugh. Drive C Forever!

Back up now, and stand snugly against the wall, beside the door. The ICPs will notice you and come running. You should encounter four ICPs, including another one of the sequencer ICPs. Staying against the wall will limit their field of attack.
You may need to bait one or two of the ICPs that lag behind, by popping up in the doorway and then backing off again. The sequencer will come in very handy here, dealing with this many ICPs at once.

Go into the next room, and turn left. Once you enter the room, you'll receive two build points for making it to one of the transport platform areas. Notice the health patch on the left. Make your way toward it.
2.8.8

After recharging your health, turn right. Note the archive bin on the right, and sometimes there's a build note on the left. Head for the bin first.

Download only the two permissions. You already have both subroutines.

Now slide to the left, and grab the build note if it's present.

Turn right, and head back up the flight of stairs.

Note the energy patch on the left. Walk over to it.

Recharge your energy cache, and turn right.

Move to this doorway, then head inside the next room.

Here you'll see one of the mooring app energy beams holding the transport in place. The control to release it is on the large display console. Finally, you'll often find the last build note here.
5/5 2.9.0

Use the control panel to disable the first mooring app. Quick save your game now.

Turn around, and make your way back to the door. Go back into the other room, and look for a sec rezzer on the wall . . . far to the left of the energy patch you used, past the console.

When you find the sec rezzer, disable it in order to save yourself from some grief in just a moment.

Turn around, and back up a bit. Face the door on the left. Very soon, two ICPs will show up. Disabling the rezzer prevented them from calling for help.
Now, take them out. Always remember to pick up their core dumps, for an energy boost.

Go through the door, and travel all the way back . . . until you reach the three openings on the left, and the display console on the right. This is near the archive bin, with the e-mail you needed to find the permission for.

Turn around, and head for the sec rezzer on the wall.

Again, we're deactivating it to save ourselves from trouble later.

Turn around, and head through the leftmost opening, you saw just a moment ago. Turn left. You'll notice yet another sec rezzer on the wall.

You guessed it . . . disable this rezzer, too.

Turn right, and head for the console in the distance.

Use the panel on the left side of the console, to disable the next app. Quick save your game again.

Turn right, and move back to the opening you came through. Up to three ICPs will show up, and one of them could be another one of those sequencer ICPs.
If you need to, hug the right wall when the sequencer ICP shows up, to limit his field of fire. Grab the core dumps, to help replenish your health.

Head back into the platform area, and move to the last remaining console on the left.

Activate the last panel, to release the final app. A door on the transport will now open. You gain three build points for releasing all the apps.
2.9.3

Move to the left. Don't bother fighting the ICPs that will come running. Just board the transport by crossing the energy bridge that appears, and move all the way to the door.
Time to meet up with Mercury, and get out of here!
Final build version for this level: 2.9.3
