Good cycle Program's and Users :)

I'm new to this forum, but boy am I glad it exists. I'm a massive fan of 2.0, but amazingly only had Internet access added to my house this year, so you can imagine my delight at finding a deadicated site for it. Now, this is a shot in the dark, but, I recently got into replica prop making and between a few of us we are embarking on making the complete Tron Discography as a series of replicas to document the discs evolution on the grid. I'm after any images I can of any of the discs from 2.0 that are different to Jet's disc, i.e guards disc, program discs etc etc. Jet's has been modeled and is nearly ready for the build process, however having discovered the killer app mod and user error app mod on here, I was wondering if any of you would mind ripping any discs from the games and jpging them for us to use as a reference for the project. Jet's disc is one of my favourite and looks a bit lonely on its own for this era of the discography. Disney's master prop archivist and the legacy disc designer have been great and provided as much info as I needed to make the other discs screen accurate. However I'm intending to make them all to look like you are on the grid and will have functioning lights wherever they ate supposed to be on the discs.

here is a render of Jet's disc as modeled by Davlin:

Like I said, it is a long shot, but if you can help we would be most greatful (I hope I didn't break any forum rules, it wasn't my intention and I apologise if I did).

Well have a fantastic Christmas and New Year everyone, I'll catch you later T;)

End of line....
Right, now I'm on the grid, how do you work this thing?!?

Hi there, and welcome to our forum. I moved your topic here to the general section because it's Tron-related.

Sounds like a very cool project. Who wouldn't want a replica Tron disc on display in their collection? :-D

As for discs in Tron 2.0 other than Jet's. The ones used by the ICP guards and other programs are just different colors of Jet's disc with the exact same design. They're red, blue (a different darker shade than Jet's), and purple.

For Killer App and User Error, our teams again just recolored the disc but kept the same design. In User Error the player's character uses the purple disc. In Killer App, a bunch of new color variations were created for Multiplayer. The "Killer App" design is shown below.

Thanks for that, I wasn't sure where to post it as it was prop related. This will be my first serious replica project so I'm nervous and exited all at once. Tron changed my life as a kid and I used to put the stipes on my frisbee and run around pretending to be Tron. I made my first costume last year and really enjoyed it and one thing led to another and the Discography was born. The project should be at the build stage early next year. The pic you provided is great and I will be experimenting a lot to see if I can replicate the cool mottled effect by the time I get to Jet's era.

If anyone would like to see more rips become a reality, post them up. I want to specialise in Tron related props as Disney seems to have abandoned the market.

How many frisbee's would have sold for the first film?

Why produce a legacy disc and not it's costume holder?

I would very much like to redress this issue.
