Multiwinia

Post by data_ghost »

anyone else tried out the demo for it? the darwinians have gotten bored of messin' with viruses and now start killing each other. its a pretty cool twist that i definitely like more than the previous game, however it still feels incomplete with not nearly enough vehicles or assests you can use, only turrets and transports. http://www.introversion.co.uk/multiwinia/

I bought the full version of Multiwinia last weekend on Steam (5 indie games for ten bucks). Daddyo, Raptorman, and myself played a couple rounds last night. It's like a cross between Defcon, Chess, and Tron. It would be interesting to see how well some of the people in this forum use their wits in strategic warfare. The game is pretty easy to understand after a few rounds (and the Tutorial helps a lot also).

Data Ghost said he thinks there's not enough assets, but I disagree. You can create ant piles, drop napalm, send in airstrikes, launch nukes from subs, and lay eggs that create different creatures. It keeps it interesting.

Avi, I completely agree. And to think you can last a while just by playing the demo ALONE....

I will also say how much one of you should buy me this game.
(THAT WAS A JOKE, OKAY?! A JOKE!)

I'll be online tonight, looking to kick some Darwinian butt. My Steam name is Juxta1975, and my XFire is 1975Avi (I bet none of you can guess what year I was born in!).

I'm not surprised that this game is dead, but I am highly disappointed. Introversion is the smartest game company around. An attractive, simple style and unique gameplay are rare these days, and these guys do it in their sleep.
