Greetings From Down Under!
Hi everybody!
I thought I'd just drop in after a few years of inactivity
Anything major I've missed? I wonder if anyone remembers me

Super bump. Dug out the game and installed once again. Anyone still play online?

Re: Greetings From Down Under!
Last year, GameSpy dropped multiplayer support for a lot of older games. Tron 2.0 was one of them.
It's still possible to play online, even if you leave the game as-is. But it's awkward. You need to know the IP address of the other person(s) you want to play against.
LDSO released a Multiplayer fix to alleviate that. Makes it easy to host and join games again. But a lot of people don't appear to be aware that a workaround exists. So, ever since then, the number of people playing Multiplayer has been way down.
There are still a few people playing, now and then. Mostly people who found the fix.
Greetz, BTW.

Re: Greetings From Down Under!
Yeah I heard about that. I've downloaded the Unofficial Patch, KA Mod and the multiplayer fix so I'm good to go, just haven't seen any activity online yet.
Ofcourse, the ol' timezone issue doesn't help too much either.
Thanks

Re: Greetings From Down Under!
I only run LDSO servers on weekends, so under the week there are usually only two servers run by the person who set up the tron-servers.net site. Might be part of the reason why there's not much activity. If people who want to play don't live in Europe, the pings to those servers won't be so good.
These days, the connection the LDSO servers are running on is pretty decent. So people in North America, at least, should get fairly good pings. Someone from the LA area in California should get about 80 or so ping, which is quite good. For Australia . . . I have no idea, unfortunately. The tron-servers.net servers might actually work better for you or anyone else in the southern hemisphere.
