Hmm, but did you listen to what Spoony had to say?

I'm afraid I agree with him. I've seen enough of the gameplay now to say that . . . I'm just not interested or excited by what I'm seeing in Tron Evolution. The graphics are nice, but that's about it for the positives.

And yes, the game uses the Unreal engine. I've known it all along, but it was recently confirmed to be the case.

Yes! i did listen! though having parkour elements in the world of tron is just a concept i really like///i could be alone in my thinking on that point?

Well, what I meant was that I was 99% sure but recently I found out 100% for sure that it's Unreal based.

As for an editing SDK, I'd say the chances of that are pretty much zero. There's been no announcement on that front so far, and I doubt there will be. We'll be on our own when it comes to modding Tron Evolution.

When are gaming companies going to learn! that opening a game for modding extends the products life almost indefinitely! just look at freelancer still going strong after all these years///oblivion/unreal tournament series :D /crysis/farcry/just to name a few............

Cool! i will be able to do something with it easy! though there could be a few factors that could make that hard like what happened with modding mirrors edge///just need to get my hands on it to see what can and cannot be done.

As long as I can make maps and dialogue to work inside their engine, a side story will happen. :p

I've made a few maps with UEdit, it's not too bad to work with.

Also having played all the platforms (Except PC)
Have to throw out a small opposing argument here for Evolution.

Been needing to post pics and info anyways.

Gotta say this,
Will everyone stop ripping on Evolution already!!!!!
Show of hands. . . . . .
Who amongst you has played the Demos?????
Anyone. . . . Bueller. . . . :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: . . . .Bueller. . . .
That's what I thought.

Iight, Let me start off with this -
I will agree with the Spoony review on the the whole jumping/leaping/spiderman wall climbing thing,
At first.
That was a pain and felt rather out of place for the "Classic Tron" feel.

However,
Once you get the hang of it,
When you get into the hand to hand combat of it,
It really gives the type of movement and game play that 2.0 really could have benefited from.
Also its very refreshing to be able to play in 3rd person perspective.
You all know how much I personally love 2.0, but the player movement was stiff, end of story.

Also,
Everyone is basing their reviews on "DEMOS"
Hello, everyone knows you dont get to play the real shiznit till its full version time!
Yeah people are going to rip on the demos,
Especially when they are early versions of the game play.

I know there is "NO Convincing" many of you,
everyone, (Including myself) Loves Classic Tron and nothing will ever compare to the joy and simplicity of the Original.
I'm also sure when the game comes out many of you will go; "Oh this game so blows even more than I thought"
But you know, give it a chance, thats not so difficult is it?

Some food for thought -
Being the Unreal Engine,
We as modders will hopefully be able to rip out and do some Kahhhh-Raaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzeeee Shiznit with it.
If the game/story blows,
We can make it better.
So look at it this way,
New Engine,
New materials,
More possibilities.

I know you all are going to slam me for this,
But for those of you who were/are fans of DM,
Dont knock it yet.

WII -

Tron for the Wii rocks. Say what you will, but it does.
Its a totally different type of game play.

To appreciate it,
You have to like playing Nintendo and the Wii style of gaming.
Its a very interactive game.
If your hard core PC, this game isn't for you.

IMO, The Wii version has more of the 2.0 game play feel.
The levels are a bit more "Toon" looking,
And I would say the XBox Killer App style is very comparable to the Wii version,
But way more slick.

Sorry folks,
I actually enjoyed playing the game.
Guess I'm just sick that way.

Peace
Mor

Hi! Mor.Evil-1 for my part* i have never had a bad thing to say about tron Evolution! i think it looks awesome! and i really like the new tron style and the free-running elements........and yes!! my biggest wish has been answered a tron game that runs under the unreal engine!! no words can describe how awesome that is! I really dont care if the game sucks-arse its running under the engine that i am extremely confident and skilled at using so i will be able to do something cool with Evolution.......cant wait!!! :D :D
