Why the hell are the sequels of pc games just that bad ? Is it just me, or is selling a trash-game a kind of cheating ???
Ok , the story:
I logged into my GFWL-account just a few minutes ago. Guessed - I wanted to play Tron Evolution ...
Well, i wanted to ....
So, the "lovely" gameclient obviously had a problem with my login - *sigh* - so i relogged.
THAT F***ING GAME KILLED MY SAVEGAMES !!!
I was lvl 38 and had played the campaign twice
(all my abraxas-shards are gone )
So my lvl is 1 again and the campaign is overwritten ...
Also the folder has no other files included . I'm getting crazy > ! <
-end of line -
in anger

Morning chaps
I'm no expert on the whimsical nature of GFWL, but I recollect having a similar issue with ME2. AFAIK it was something to do with having an offline profile and an on-line profile; my progress had been saved against one but I had launched the game against another, or something similar. Suffice to say I was able to resurrect my previous save with only a moderate amount of fannying about.
I don't know whether this applies in your case, but it might be worth a few minutes with uncle Google.

Yeah, win3k nailed it. With GfWL, if you start a game offline you have to stay offline until you finish the game. Or, if you start online you have to stay online until you finish.
If for any reason you switch, be it intentional or accidental, GfWL will erase your existing saved games and replace them with new ones. It has to do with achievements. When playing online, you get achievements. Offline, you don't. So it's two different types of saved games.
It's a really stupid decision on Microsoft's part, but there you go.
You might want to grab Game Save Manager. It allows you to easily back up saves from many games, including Evolution and even Tron 2.0. That way, if it ever happens again, you can restore your saves.

Yes, but if for any reason you start the game offline - even if it's not your fault and it happens by accident - the game will erase your saves.
It's simply down to the fact that GfWL . . . well, kind of sucks. (Understatement of the year? )
