These look fantastic, but so did evolution. It looks great, but who knows about gameplay. It's going to be hard to top Tron 2.0. It's wishful thinking that we could get a game in the same caliber as something like Battlefront or COD. I'd love to say any new Tron game is better than nothing, but the more crappy games they put out, the more the alienate the franchise from the rest of the gaming community, not to mention lowering the casual fandom.

100% agree with you, Load.

It's difficult to say for sure, based on a handful of concept art sketches and screenshots. But it looks as though Disney learned nothing from the reception of TRON Evolution. This new game was going to repeat all the same mistakes: by including what players had said they liked the least in Evolution. The parkour, the constant running, and being confined to a narrow "on-rails" track.

I've said it elsewhere, and it may shock fans. But if this is all TRON Escape was going to be - a budget title with gameplay suited for mobile platforms - then I won't shed a tear over its apparent demise. It's definitely not what I'm looking for in another TRON game.

IGN linked my TRON Escape article in their new article! They provide additional speculation as to what the concept art images could be.

Yet, in the very same article, they include another new screenshot I’ve never seen before, that more or less helps support the conclusion that they’ve all come from TRON Escape.

I’ve also updated my own TRON Escape article to include this new screenshot, and provide additional analysis of it.

All of these TRON Escape “leaks” were apparently a marketing stunt. A preview of the game was on the 2015 Game Awards show.

Only now, it’s called TRON Run/r. I suspected as much when the IGN article had a “special advertising section” disclaimer attached to it.

It’s on Steam now!
