Here's a YouTube link for the Tron: Uprising animated series trailer.

IMHO, I think it has potential.

P.S. not sure if this deserves its own thread area or should stay in this section. It kinda fits.

Looks pretty cool, I like the extra detail in the costumes. Great collection of voice talents also. Pee-Wee Herman!

I agree, it has potential. At least it will keep Tron in the mainstream. The animation looks slick, let's just hope it has some story.

Greetings Programs

I just wanted to post this link to one of the few still active trailer locations for TRON Uprising for those who have missed it till now...

I personally am feeling very hopeful about this series, [IF] they do this RIGHT an do some serious technical program references to software and applications that exist nowadays... it could be nice to watch. HELL! who am I kiddin... if it says TRON on it I will own it just to have it! lol
BUT seriously if they can do reboot an it appeal to some TRON fans, they CAN do this ...again ... [IF] they do it correctly.

HIRE SOME TRON "FANS" DISNEY!!!

Gezz!.

Oh...an Reboot did btw! It actually seemed VERY FREAKIN TRON-ish... just lacked the cool tron costumes mostly, lol.

Since my previous posting of this got deleted, I'm reposting . . .

According to Charlie Bean, Executive Producer on TRON Uprising, the ratings are not doing well. The show will not be airing this week, and will likely be rescheduled to another time slot. Bad news for an animated series, that I think is far superior to the actual Tron Legacy movie sequel we got. T-(

No worries. We're good now. T-p

I'm generally liking the direction of Uprising, even though there are some times that the characters behave a little out of character. I hope the schedule change will help the show, rather than hurt. I still watch the show online, but it would help if the Disney XD videos would update to current, so I head elsewhere to watch.

Charlie Bean has updated fans on the status of TRON Uprising, and it's looking very bad. Disney has rescheduled the show to Sundays at midnight on Disney XD, starting on Dec. 2nd.

This time slot marks the death of Uprising, unfortunately. We'll get 8 more episodes, but then it will be cancelled. I can't see it being renewed for another season. Really hate having to report this kind of news. TRON Uprising was such a quality show, and deserves better! - TronFAQ

Some people are saying Disney is moving Uprising to that 12 AM time slot to compete with Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, and that Disney has finally clued in that the number of older fans watching is more important than they originally thought.

Sadly, I can't see this as anything other than a death sentence. But I would be glad to be proven wrong.

Hey, FAQ. You seem to have all the names and addresses of who's who at Disney regarding the TRON franchise. Who would I need to contact to see what it would cost to just "buy" their production of another season of Uprising? Since the show is poorly distributed and promoted by them, I was thinking a Kickstarter campaign to raise production capital for the show might give them a better metric to measure interest and support for the show. As far as I can tell, executives more interested in business than technology (let alone fantasy technology) are responsible for Uprising's poor performance. ("I'm not interested, and I'm more like real people than the few fans that are!" kind of mentality.)

Anyhoo... anyone think this might be worth a shot?

I honestly have no idea who to contact, specifically. I was given advice that in situations like this, it's best to carpet bomb several people within Disney.

First, so your message reaches the right person eventually. Second, and more importantly, so that many people within the company become aware of your message. In the hope that it will end up being discussed among them, and that no one employee can sweep your message under the carpet and ignore it.
