okay once again im sorry if you dident under stand so if you will alow me to explain further

i have an object that is in the map you can phisicaly see it but is in a place on the map that would make it dificult to find. it will unlock the door to my security room with the secrezzers in it.
i have solved this problem with your much apriceated help.
now i was going to explain the spinning object. so now i wanted to have a spinning object it looks like the flynn's arcade coin. i made the coin and the textures from the pics on tron-sector and made a coin edge my self but i cant make it spin it just stays in one spot. i would like it to slowly spin in place and, im going to put in like a tube so it cant be obstructed kinda like the icps in v-man dm world but i can do that my self.
and secince you want the whole story: im going to add a reformat wall that can be activated from the security room and, you have to run from and and the end there will be teleporters (like in mors map) to take you back behind it so you dont die and, yes if you activate it you have to run aswell. tanks that will be above the room and pointed down so as to go thru the on sided celing in the rooms and, they all will have a time delay so you cant just sit there and use them over and over.
so thats all i need to do i will need help with the reformat wall, and the teleports.

First of a all - and please don't understand it as an offense - it would be helpful to make shorter sentences. It is hard to understand the context of your text, as one sentences goes into the next one. I can see that english is not your native language (as it is not mine as well), but just a few 'dots' would be very helpful, because your description would be more clear :).

Your spinning-problem seemed to be fixed (as your screenshots already show a spinning coin, if i'm not wrong), otherwise say if not.
The reformat-wall is a bit more complex to make, because you would need:
- a 'VolumeBrush/HealthZone'-object, where you have to set a high 'damage'-value (like 100000) for an instant kill
- this volumebrush-object can be moved by a 'KeyFramer'-object
- that keyframer-object must be activated by something (e.g. 'Trigger')
- you would like to use a Brush (for the visible part of the 'reformat wall') which must be bind to a 'WorldModel'-object (for the transparency-effect, but also for the fact that you can handle it as object). This worldmodel-object must be bind to the keyframer-object as well

Note that this is just one possible solution, there might be more.

KeyFraming ist a tricky part, but a better solution. You can also use a SlidingWorldModel, but it doesn't offer good options for controlling its movement and the time the movement uses. There are some older tutorials out there about keyframing, you should try these by yourself to find out how it works. Otherwise feel free to ask.

im not ezely offended. maby thats why i offend so ezely. i have spoken and riten englesh my whole life, just my typing and punctuation is the problem. i can right ok but i just cant and get the gramer and spelling when i type. but i was born in missuri and am still here. but anyways just thinking out loud. yea i got the coin to work. and added a steam (or corruption) vent that you can brake the glass and, one touch kills to make a batle more intense. does any one know how to make a transport thats the thing i havent been able to do and there arent any tutorials for.

What exactly is ment with 'transport'. Kind of vehicle, using lightcycle, tranportation-effect, etc.?

sorry im doing it again.
by transport (i say that after years of exposer to star trek) i mean a teleport like all the ones in mors map and, dmworld. i wanted them somwhare at the end of the map so that when you run from the reformat wall you dont always die. that is if you can make it to the teleport

Teleporting isn't very complicated

- Set a Trigger at the end to activate a teleport-action. Make the bounds of the trigger big enough so the player will touch it in all cases. (TeleportStart)
- Set a TeleportPoint at the location where you want the player to appear. Make it high enough over ground (e.g. 128 units). Remember the name this object has (or you have given). (TeleportEnd)
- The trigger must call 'msg activeplayer (teleport <nameOfYourTeleport>)'. So if you have set a teleportpoint, named 'teleportPoint01', the message would look like this : 'msg activeplayer (teleport teleportPoint01)'

That's it.

About the 'activeplayer' in the message : You can either use 'player' or 'activeplayer'. The difference is that 'activeplayer' can seperated between several player touching the a trigger, 'player' cannot. In other words: if some in a multiplayermap would touch a trigger containing a message using 'player', everything that is invoked by this message will happen to all player in the map! 'activeplayer' instead will let it happen just for the player activating the trigger. So rule is: in multiplayer-map always use 'activeplayer' instead of 'player' in message (except you really want to invoke the message on all players)

See, if you'd worded your question like that in the first place, I would have had a much better time of understanding what you were asking for. Something like "I am using a sliding switch attached to a brush that is hidden in the map, that when activated sends the messages msg object_name UNLOCK and LOCK to a door" would have made immediate sense.

Just because you made an off-handed remark about wanting to know how to move a door up and down, didn't mean that later you could automatically expect me to know you were talking about the door when you asked about the switch. For all I knew, they were two completely unrelated things.

Sorry if I got a bit snippy. But you were getting a bit frustrated and rude and taking it out on me, when you weren't making yourself clear enough. So naturally I didn't take too kindly to that. But let's put that behind us, shall we?

It looks like you've already figured out the spinning model and the glass, and X has already done a thorough job explaining how to do a format wall and teleporting. So I don't think there's anything I can really add now.

That section of the map shown in your screenshots looks very nice, and I'm glad to see it's coming along. Looking forward to its eventual release.

makeing progress, i have a new test version out. like i say its a test so there are some exadgerations that will be removed later. i ask you to try it out its runing on my server now. enjoy and let me know what you think, if you wish to. ::0

I hope you don't mind, but I put your map files inside a .REZ to make it easier for people to install. So they can either drop it in the Custom\Resources folder manually, or use REZ Handler to do it automatically.

you know how you do the transports and you can make only one player or all players transport, well my idea is to make like security cameras ware you press a button and you see a room. and to exit you simply opt out like a video in the game. can i use the same methed to make only one player see it?

As far as I know, there's no way to have only one person see what a camera is showing when it's activated. That's the problem with trying to do cutscenes in multiplayer. You're in the middle of doing something, and then suddenly you lose control and are forced to sit there and watch because someone else started a cutscene. It's very disorienting and annoying.
