Archive Bins

Post by foxmulder359 »

Greetings! I hope this is the correct forum to ask this; I would like to know how I go about adding permissions into Archive Bins. I currently use FHRED to edit my QUICK.SAV. Will I need the TRON 2.0 editor to do so?

If you want all permissions, just use the Killer App Mod. I stopped updating the saved game hex editing tutorial, once I found a way to incorporate gold subroutine and permission cheats into the game itself.

Thank you for that! I installed the Killer App MOD, works real nice! How do I activate the Permissions Cheat, or is that done automatically within the game?

Go to Start > All Programs > TRON 2.0 Killer App Mod > TRON 2.0 Killer App Mod Manager and run the program. Put an X in the box beside Permissions Cheat.

The cheat will either become active right away on each level, or after a cutscene at the start of the level is finished. If you skip a cutscene, then you'll have to wait a bit. The cheat will not work on the first level when you do training, because having it active would break the training if you could do things in any order you want.

The MOD and all are working great, thanks! I noticed that if you just let the cut scenes play through, the God Mode and Permissions Cheat activate after about 10 seconds or so, good job on who created the MOD!

Forgot to mention this: The screen resolution defaults back to 640x480 everytime you load the game from the Mod Launcher...

All of the team that created this site also worked on the mod, so thanks. 8-)

As for the mod manager resetting the resolution. Since Tron 2.0 doesn't allow selecting widescreen resolutions in-game: if your current resolution is widescreen and you try to change your res in the game, it will drop to 640x480 and you can't go back to the resolution you had before. To help with this problem, the mod manager remembers what resolution you chose when installing the mod. If it was a widescreen res, the manager will set it back to that.

If you didn't change the res from the default 640x480 when installing the mod, that's why the manager keeps setting it back to that.

In the next version of the mod, I've managed to get the game to allow you to select any resolution in-game. As shown in this video I recently made.

I was wondering; how does one go about adding the Permanent God Mode, and All Permissions Cheats to the User Error 2 MOD? I would like to see what effect that would have on gameplay within the map.

Permanent god mode will work with User Error (both the current version, and the updated version of UE due soon). But the other two cheats will not.
