This past week I found a few players online to compete against. It felt good to rez in and play head to head again. The only problem is that none of the people that I played against could handle defeat very well. They obviously weren't new to the game, but I still had no trouble sending them into Spectator mode. I was not cocky about my wins, I just congratulated them on a good match and then *poof*...they were gone.

It didn't matter what kind of match I found them in...LC, DA, or DM, they still bailed after receiving a moderate butt whipping. Today in Disc Arena, two of them teamed up against me and quickly left after I was able to overcome the numbers handicap and derezed both of them one round after another.

Most of them are European, but I won't get into that any further because I don't want to hurt Data Ghost's feelings.

this isnt the same behaviour as what you described but on some games people can act like retards but on the other end of the retard-o-scale. on a game called medieval total war, i go on a server for the first time and get my ass kicked unsuprisingly. but these guys go crazy, "WE HAD THE F*KIN N00B, THATS Y WE LOST KICK HIM!!". i try reasoning with them, telling them the the game has only about 20-25 players on multiplayer anyway and they should be welcoming newcomers to the game. a barrage of insults after this and i left.

How can there be any matches when people are scared to lose?

And how do they expect to get better? From single player missions?

Can I also rant about the stupidity regarding use of Heavy Weapons as well as Disc Blocking?

1 Thing that I will say is yes, it is a nuisance if a player only does that.

However:

On Star Wars Republic Commando, when I play online, some get very stupid and insult me whenever I kill them with either:

1) Wookiee Rocket Launcher
2) "Grenade Launcher" Anti Armor Pack
3) Concussion Grenade: A grenade that 1 hit kills upon direct contact, does spash damage on a round area, and drains shield/health with melee strike.
4) Concussion Grenade: Does the dame as Conc Rifle melee
5) Sonic Detonators: Grenades that do large splash damage, high damage.
6) A rapid fire heavy machine gun.

Okay, 6 Weapons in the game itself are described 'noobing'. As a Good player ( I say this because I CAN place 1st in a match), I use everything available, heavy weapons included.


I don't care if I'm a noob, I'm using weapons that are intended to be played with, so get over it and stop crying like a baby.
