Hey that's great! I would write programs after reading Byte magazine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte_(magazine), find registers to 'poke' and mess with the audio generators and try to do sprite graphics, then when we had to go to the department store for something, I'd stand there at the demo unit and program away for an hour. They're running $50-100 U.S. these days. Of course you can still get the nutty modems that you rest your phone on too...

I've been playing Cyris this week. I can not believe my own eyes at times during the game. I could nit pick about a few things but I can't believe what that team was/is able to accomplish with real time graphics. My has been is pretty much blown. But I'd still rather MOD for TRON

I still haven't picked up Crysis, but will eventually.

Though after hearing Cervat Yerli at Crytek whinge about the sales of the game, and blaming it all on pirates: it made me decide not to buy it right away. I'll wait for both Crysis and Warhead to end up in the bargain bin.
