Lol, I just watched EA's E3 press conference. Willy came out onto the stage and started explaning how awesome his old chemistry sets were and then he started talking about Spore. He said that Maxis expected users of the Spore Creature Creator to make at least 100,000 creatures by the time the game launched. He then went on to explain that players had created 100,000 speicies in 22 hours within release, 1 million speicies within a week, and more speicies than the number of known living speicies on Earth within 18 days. He then went on to crunch some numbers while on stage and stated that Spore Fans are 38% God, therefore, they are .38G, and he expects Spore fans to be 1G at the time of the game's actual release if the current rate of new speicies keeps up. He then went on to show some of the creatures that people have made, saying that some of them baffle the very designers that created the program. Check out the EA press conference on G4's website if you want to be amazed by wildly awesome Spore creatures that baffle even the programmers.
When I say Willy I mean Will Wright. That guy is freaking awesome.
E3 2008 FTW.

Lol, yeah. At one point in the press conference he started showing spore creatures that looked like vehicles. I can remember seeing a space shuttle and a pirate ship. He then went on to say "I can't even begin to imagine what everyone will come up with when we release the vehicle creator"...SweatyPyro wrote:Yes, Will Wright is a master of his domain.
Also, notice how Will was measuring spore players' godliness in measurments of G. Not g. G means God and g means gravity, lol. He took some time to explain that.
Some new footage of spore will likely be making it's way onto Youtube from E3 in the following days. Keep your eyes peeled.
