You should be able to save your game file anywhere you want with the "Save as" feature, like X said. You can create your own special folder in Windows Explorer, and save the file in there. So you don't have to go hunting for it any more.
Yeah, that's what I did. GameMaker is great. Vista's causin all the problems. The thing is, Windows Explorer is hiding random folders and files from me, and I can access these folders while browsing for files in GameMaker 7. WTF?

Death_program, if you tried the game engine, it would be appreciated if you could provide feedback. :D

Also, I'm still looking for testers. It MIGHT work with an unregistered version of GameMaker 7, but I honestly have no idea. If you're interested, PM me your Email address and the name you want me to credit you by. Please be aware that the name that I credit you by will be used in the final version of the game, which will be distributed to random people over the interwebs. :D

Game engine runs fine under unregistered.

I haven't had time to fiddle around with it yet. It's on my to-do list.

Here's a small little update:

I've added a few more enemy types and I'm testing the engine right now. I've also found a nice MIDI composer program, so I'll be able to create my own music for the game. The game engine is almost done, I'm trying to determine weather or not to add more enemies before implementing the engine into S.T.E.A.L.T.H. I'm still looking for some people to try the engine, if any of you have a breif understanding on how to use gamemaker and wanna try it, send me a PM!

The new version of Stealth Engine is ready for testers, with a few more enemy types than the original and a starter level. :D

Also, I plan to publicly release Stealth Engine with or without S.T.E.A.L.T.H. when I put it on YoYoGames.

Small update,

I released a demo a while back, and I just recently updated it with a few fixes. Try it out:

http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/66712#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm thinking about adding lives to the game, so that there's actually a reason to not die, but I want to get some feedback first. Also, here's a "Help Wanted" list I posted over at Tron-Sector a while back:
I'm looking for someone who is a good pixel artist who would like to do the sprites for the game. If you'd like to do some art for the game, tell me that you want to, show me some better sprites than the ones I have in the game already, and the name that you'd like me to credit you as in the credits.

RULES:
All sprites need to be sized 32X32 Pixels and in the same perspective as seen in the game.

I need replacement sprites for the following:

Primary:
-Player character
-Enemies

Secondary:
-Walls (possibly some metallic marks or scratches)
-Floor (32X32 Pixel design; tiled in-game)

Do not need:
-Red sight (I already have a better replacement of this in the works)

If anyone wants to help, tell me, and I'll PM you with updates with the game development and if I need sprites for new enemies/etc.

Thanks!

Note that you will not be paid. This is an independent, non-funded project that will not be sold, but rather available as a free download. :D
