Alt-F4 or not Alt-F4

I did this about 50 times today while working on a map, and pc totally croaked. It's ok now but do you guys ever do this to bail out of a game? It didn't seem to eat resources, but never paid a whole lot of attention to it.

I watched this Youtube vid once of some really neat multiplayer mod for Portal. In the comments, someone said "How did you do that??!?". Someone replied and said "Start up Portal and press Alt-F4".

Yes usually that gives you're player special abilities

No, it only gives you unlimited ammo. So say the legends on BF2.
On a serious note, I found it good to just crap out of either long loading TBS games like Galactic Civs 2 or older games. I really like saving time.
