Sony is finally closing the door on the Matrix Online MMO, after 4 years.

The Matrix Online game was developed by Monolith. It wasn't well received, and Sony bought it from Warner Bros. shortly after it was released. Amazingly, Sony has kept it going for four years.
Now, that's some kind of dedication. I know the Matrix name alone is part of why it lasted so long. But, still. Contrast that to BVG, who pretty much abandoned Tron 2.0 after not even two years. Even though Tron 2.0 received mostly positive reviews and praise, compared to Matrix Online's negative reviews and unhappy players.
