Widescreen Gaming Forum finally added the KA Mod as a widescreen solution for Tron 2.0, to their Games List. About time!

Added an article found on Totalmod.hu reviewing the Killer App Mod and User Error 2. The review is positive about both.

Added screenshots of when KA and UE were both featured as ModDB front page headlines.

Added more UE coverage.

Stumbled across an article on a Russian site called Absolute Games, discussing older games and mods for them. The Killer App Mod is mentioned, and for User Error the author refers to it in his "bonus campaign scene" comment. His brief review of both is favorable.

Another article added, a TRON 2.0 restrospective from Gamers.hu. However, it doesn't mention the Killer App Mod by name. The article only refers to it as an "HD mod".

I don't get that. Why mention it, but not give the name or a place where to download it? It's a disservice to the reader to mention something potentially useful, but give no details on it. It was the same with the Absolute Games article, where they didn't mention User Error by name. Kind of shameful, really.

The article also mentions (paraphrasing) that "TRON 2.0 was kept alive by modders after Buena Vista Interactive abandoned it".

Added a link to a page, from an article on the French site Grospixels. It's a big multi-page article covering everything Tron. The link is to the page talking about Tron 2.0, and in it the KA Mod is mentioned as a widescreen solution.

Added an article from a site called Play Old PC Games. They recommend installing the Killer App Mod, and the article is so recent that it even mentions a Multiplayer Fix was in development.

Added a link for a lengthy review of TRON 2.0 at Gamexotic, to the first message post, which recommends playing the game with Killer App Mod.

Slightly off-topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread for it.

Lately, there's been a sudden rise in the number of e-mails with people asking me for help or questions about Tron 2.0, and/or about the Killer App Mod. Way more than usual.

I believe the reason is because of this article on Kotaku.


It's about "classic PC games you must play", and Tron 2.0 is one of the picks chosen by Kotaku staff.

But I think we specifically owe Kain-Xavier thanks as the one responsible for sending people our way, due to mentioning my site. Thanks, K-X!

Updated the first post in this topic to include mention of Killer App Mod v1.1a making the ModDB headlines for November 2014, and also being a Top 10 mod in December 2014 (peaking at #10) for a while. Screenshots included as proof.

Added two new sites. AFO Web mentions both Killer App and User Error. GRYOnline.pl cites Killer App as a recommended download. (Though they pick the wrong picture to represent v1.1a. The Burst Cannon won't be in Multiplayer until v1.2 is released.)

Added Thetartuffebay.org, which reviews TRON 2.0 with Killer App Mod v1.1a installed.

The review incorrectly assumes that crashes experienced while playing the game, are due to the mod. Crashes also occur in the vanilla, unmodded game, due to lingering bugs that weren't fixed in the last Official Patch. (When fighting DataWraiths, and sometimes if you quickload a saved game rapidly, several times in a row.)

Added Kaiserkiwi.de, which reviewed TRON 2.0 and mentions the Killer App Mod at the end. Also added Heelpbook.
