Pretty interesting.
One time, I loaded a picture of my face into FL's Beepmap. I hit one note and my whole PC rebooted. I wonder what that means.
So far, I haven't received any bids on my ebay auction. I am working on a new detailed piece that is a montage of different vices (or things that can be bad for you). So far, it has managed to piss off some people at work that have seen it because I included a crucifix in it. Well, aren't those potentially bad for you too? Ouch!

I haven't tried yet with my picture but maybe ur pc got booted becaus of the quality & size of ur photo. I guess beemap can't handle certain sizes/formats of a pic....probably it rebooted because.... a) the pic was too much highquality & therefore too big to scan & then it caused Cpu overload for a second or b) it's a sign that something in ur hardware-world such harddisc has a problem & soon should be replaced before u loose alot of song-data like me last year.
I had alot of rebooting & system freez as a former western digital was from a bad series & when i played Tron for example i often got froozen...i couldn't do nothing & then i had to restart. First i thought of a motherboard problem but when i disconnected my 200gb Western digital from the system, there was none of the mentioned troubles to expierence. I might be wrong but better u check it out in the same way like me in case the rebooting appears often. That's one of the symphtoms how harddiscs signalize to their users that they are ready to go to their graveyard.
An another sign would be that they make strange noices. I'm sure u know what i mean.

In that case (HD-Probs) you both should check via Systemtools (WindowsExplorer->RightClickOnHDIconInTree->'Tools'->checkForErrors). But this is just a plain check, for deeper investigation you should use an external software. It might also be important to make a surface-check of your HD if you really think there might be the problem. Ah yes, and defragmentation could be a cool task to do sometimes, tho it won't be a reason for reboot as far as my experiences show.
And about reboot, as soon it gets to the hardware: check cpu-temperature, temp of graph-card, check that all cards and wires a really inside their slots (sometimes they start to get loose a bit). That is just a plain list of things that can be controled before you try to dig deeper. And in the case of Beemap: it is imaginable that it was a row of causalities, caused by a plugin in the Webpage over to the Browser, to the OS
boom. Try another browser, and check if it happens all the time.

Sort of related question, how do you guys store your FL studio music files? I hate how it spread the project file, live recordings, etc in scattered places. I'd much rather have it store everything one tune uses in one folder for that tune. To back up everything I've done, I have to copy every stinkin file in that folder (where all the pieces go) that includes the samples/midi/etc that came with FL.
I'm not sure how to back up VSTI settings and presets, which could be a real bummer if those were lost, maybe all thats in \program files\vstplugins?
I got guitar rig after all, unfortunately didn't get the pedal but I'll figure that out someday (looking for a MIDI pedal...). It's a major CPU hog though, which bugs me. Thought the distortion wasn't that great, so went to the music store and played with their amps and whattya know, it seemed to sound fairly similar.

My guitar amp plugs straight into my PC now, and the sound is pretty cool. It has an amp/cabinet emulator, so even plugging straight into the sound card I can achieve tones that sound like I placed a mic in front of a loud cabinet. I have lots of guitar VST's, but have no need for them anymore.
Well, back to the thread subject: My art didn't sell, so I guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board (literally).

Oh my this time there is alot to explain & answer.
Hope i can sort out the different topics we have stumbled over them in some degree. Maybe it's the best it goesthru step by step as they appeared.
Beepmap
There is some missunderstanding. Beepmap is no plugin for any of the web-browsers. It's a virtual instrument & therefore a plugin for a Vst-host (which in that case is a house-plugin that contains in the standard package of Fl-studio). I agree with Xistence that it aswell "could" be a hardware problem with one of the components of Avi's Computer. If i still remember....Cds such Hires Bootcd should have good tools that can check harddisc & other things. Perhaps many more compilations of tools such Hires as "all in one" could be still found & dowloadede directly or at least thru P2P. U know there could be many things....also a RAM problem, because when u are about to import a picture into Beepmap, people with WinXP or Vista tend to have the visual preview feature enabled. And all the previewed data need to be stored in realtime. And that goes for the RAM. My second guess was Harddisc, because i had this problem a few months ago. Not with Beepmap but with computer games such Tron 2.0.
Perhaps people on gamegrid thought i had my excuses for the reason as sore-looser when i left all of sudden & then returned with my statements. First i thought of a Motherboard trouble as i own a model which is wellknown for to be in a bad-series. Then since late autumm i knew the real reason for my regular crashes
my former Western Digital Harddisc. When it was clear it could be the harddisc i plugged it out from the system to be sure & then all my crashes or system freezes became past. My harrdisc died a day after my experiment & i lost alot of important data for an album i could have finished in the end of 2007. However i was lucky... i had my warranty for this device & so therefore Western Digital exchanged me a new harddisc with 400 instead 200 gb (newer series). Blessing in disguise ? Somehow but when u think back of my lost data then i'm not sure. Graphiccard can't be a problem unless Avi expierenced booting or freeze during the games. And if this never happens again & he is able to load his photo into Beepmap then it just was a dirty bug & we made then too much speculations into the hardware world only. Software can bug alot. Drivers can confuse the system or sequencer aswell. I hope he won't expierence the same pain of lost data as me.

Alot of things in Fl-studio will be stored in ...\Data\Patches. Within the folder patches u will find alot of folders. Plugin presets can be saved in ...\Plugin presets. The presets of Fl-studio-plugins basically are saved in Effects (for effect plugins such EQUO, Fruity Delay etc.. ) & it's vsti's (such FPC, Fl-sylayer, Systrus etc..) in the folder Generators. 3rd party plugins in VST. So the best is u save the entire Data folder before u deinstall an older version of Fl-studio or backup. Presets from Fl & 3rd plugins also can be saved on a differenat location within ur harddrive by opening the plugin options (findable in the left-most position on the top) & then select from the popup-menu "save preset as". Of course....also the most plugins do have a browser inside their interface to not only import banks or singple-presets as also to let them save/export. As u figure it's possible to freely manage where u store all ur data with sequencers & the used plugins. Don't worry.
Default locations for several things always are there but they are just an option for those who prefer to have everything stored within the install dir of the programm. I hope to have understood ur question correctly.
@Avi
It's nice u have found a hardware solution for ur sound to get more volume & punch but a guitar-amp is just an amplifier but no allround effect device as Guitarrig for example is. So if u don't need it's addone effects then ur hardware will suit u better. One plus on hardware is u don't run into Cpu-load. This is biggest reason why most hardware lovers hate to use virtual "software" devices such Synths, Samplers, Effects. Vst-plugins then deliver totally recall freedom & if can have endlessl mixers, synths without to care to look for a bigger room. U also don't need to clean them from dust or making checkup once per year. However u think about it....the pro & cons in the issue "Hardware versus Software" turns out to be even. So i don't want to debate about this but i just wanted to mention to what Guitarrig is capable too. See in Guitarrig a flexible Multi-effect device & tell me if u find something cheaper in one hardware device of ur knowledge. I'm not a big fan of Guitarrig but i'm about to become as i need to buy a new Pc as soon as possible. My songs & requirements get more complex year by year & i'm afraid to have touched it's maximum of the Pc. Modern software gives u more possiblities, better sound-quality but also a new blind alley which ends with a buy of a new system.

I know Amplitube too & my fav. product (that i love with the buttom of my heart) is T-racks. It's available as standalone as also plugin-version. I use it only for mastering while Amplitube has many useful presets to choose for wierd to classic guitar sounds. However....when it comes to multieffects Guitarrig seems to offer a little bit more but eats more Cpu as Amplitube. That's right. Meanwhile we got so much compressors & maximizers from the Vst-world, that i would say it's the same as with the hardware-world, when u pickup one of them. All are good but not all suit for a certain way u want to achieve. Always it depends on the kind of goal that u want to go for. This is why i never could recommend something for everything to everybody u know. Musicans & Sounddesigners are pretty individual & a complicated folk...as usual well-known that the artists are the so called wierdos.
Thanks to their different thinking/nature they capture & release things where "normal" creatures would fail even to understand.
@Avi
That's a pitty people seem to be ignorant bastards sometimes when it comes to nice art but don't be sad. Look...Mozart for example had his audience during his lifetime but when he died & after 1 century has passed they acknowledged him far more than ever happend in his life sofar. How must have his soul felt about this because it would have been more amazing to him to expierence such level of love & tribute when he lived.
I don't know how long an offering can be last on ebay. If the period ended then re-new or find similar ideas where u could try to sell. Perhaps it would sell better when u use ur graphics aswell as covers for ur cd/album too in the future. So the coverart will get sold as a poster aswell....nice idea ? I think this is the best way to combine ur skills for just 1 project. Also the booklet needs some art. The booklet itself can be puplised as pdf-file too in case the album will be available only or first as online-album. When it's ready for the "real" cd-production it will be printed on nice shinny paper. Good Luck & don't give up so easily as u did on gamegrid.
