I just wanted to post this to start up a conversation about How does/did TRON influence your life.

I still remember it like it was yesterday...
I was walking into the lunchroom at my elementary school during a fun day before the sockhop that day. I was going to go get me a DinaSour egg at the snackroom, an to my suprise someone had setup a movie projector. I ignored it at first as I didnt know the movie at all. But as I stood in line I glanced over, I spotted that helicopter with EVIL RED badguy lights all over it, an started stalling an let ppl in front of me so I didn't have to go back to my classroom an I could keep watching . An before I knew it I had sat down an spent my 50c on some popcorn an there I sat in TOTAL AWE till the movie was over never having known the movies name. An for almost 3 years I never even knew the movies name. But I NEVER forgot it.

That one moment caused me to love science an study it, an ANYTHING SciFi....an I still do to this day.

Unfortunately i cant remember anything from my childhood i suffered a severe head injury about a year ago now! so a lot of things i just cant remember anymore! i see vague images when trying remember but they appear more dream like that actual events that could have happened.......though i guess tron influenced me in some way as im here on this forum and went to great lengths to obtain a copy of tron2.0 and various classic tron toys .. though i do believe i would not have been able to make any cents of the concepts in tron as a child* but when i watch the original movie now i see how far ahead of its time the concept was!! its one of the best cyberpunk films going!

I never thought it really did, but was simply strange, interesting visuals & concepts, music, sounds, plus the spin-off arcade games were cool to play. I'm sure I forgot about it for decades at a time.

Having hundreds of hours of great 2.0 multiplayer with the right people at the right time got me into it, and seeing the 2nd movie come into production and some of the ARG stuff, finally got me telling someone recently that I'm "a fan". Now I'm wondering if I just went a little too far in getting an unbelievable deal on 16 full-size arcade games that are temporarily polluting my house.

Yes! my hard drive had a reboot.......though i got it back all scrambled! with no software to correct it there are some things i remember from my childhood but i need to verify the memory with close friends or family members just to make make certain its not a imaginary event created by my mind!

One way it inspired me is that it gave me a dream about being computer programmer. If I did not saw the movie Tron I would not know some of the things I know now.
