Well! i finally have taken the time to look over the forum in detail i have read just about everything now! though the post regarding the KA mod really was crazy stuff!! and sorry for bringing up old wounds but i know why subconsciously i have always worked alone on maps/models/mods///its crazy! stuff like that could happen! a real eye opener! also i have the KA mod i downloaded that from filefront at some point i can't remeber when now? used it once then uninstalled as it affected my ability to play online

Yeah, it was an unfortunate situation. There were misunderstandings all around and I think that some things were blown a bit out of proportion.

All I can say is that when the next version is finished, all the major contributors will get a chance to look at it first before it gets released. So that any further release issues will be avoided. That was the mistake last time.

Please for give this question in this section. The killer app mod section is locked. It seems that the killer app mod 1.0 is not available for unknown reasons. It looks like 1.1 will be awesome but until that is released is there a way for use folks to get our hands on 1.0. Thanks

eh! i found this on piratebay torrents/has no seeders so no point in trying to download it/and thats a good thing better to wait for the updated version //think it was posted by some disgruntled ideas man who supposably got no recognition for submitting ideas to the mod.........

Honestly i even don't want to know anymore why our community lacks of everything. Never expect team spirit if there are too much leaders working for the sake of fame.

I will boycott both versions because i don't want to use a mod which brought just drama into a small house. At the end, ...there will be left only the leader & his creation. The community is almost dead.

Notoriety! this happens within any modding community regardless of the creation whether it be a map or full conversion ect///what it comes down to is very basic set of creative fundamentals laws///firstly! the artist/creator/map maker/(s) will invest many weeks months or years into a project always pushing the boundaries in pursuit of perfection/ secondly! as much as the project is an outlet of creative energy and ideas ultimately it will be experienced by thousands of gamers hungry for a new world to frag in or explore/ thirdly! the creators of the siad environments create not for fame as you (Nicola.exe) have stated this is really very far from ones mind when building your masterpeace*now! i can only speak on my own motives for making maps and mods a this stage///because really the amount of down time it takes to learn to use a game engine tool set effectively is fornominal by my own calculations///the Unreal engine is my favorite engine i have been poking around with it for many years now and i still would not class myself as an expert and within the last year i have started learning to use cryteks awesome sandbox2 editor and im the process of making a game mod to run under it! also universities offer degrees in game development nowadays away! keep this in mind next time and please broaden your views maybe make a map or build a 3D model ? im certain that will enlighten you to the motives why we build and yes! whats wrong with people giving you praise and respect for ones creation? fame is just a byproduct of that anyway...............im going to play the killer amp mod!! it will be hardcore fun

well! as a matter of fact i have conversed with (TronFaq) on the Killer amp mod issue and the politics surrounding it via PM very extensively and he was more than forthcoming with honesty regarding the topic and the mechanics of this forum i couldnt see any secrets and im a very good judge of character and yes! this forum community is small and you cant perceive because of that single fact its hiding secrets besides!! once the new tron movie/game is released this small forum is going to get a large influx of new people and especially if the game for pc runs under the unreal engine or other modern toolset bright skies and good times ahead

When the new version of the mod is ready, everyone who made any significant contribution to it will have a chance to look it over first before it's released. So that there's a chance for any input, feedback, likes, dislikes, etc.


It's unfortunate that some seem to dwell on the past, and always focus on the negative side of things. Every time I see a post from Nicola, it's always negative, negative, negative. What I don't like, what's wrong with everybody and the world, why Light Cycles and Derez are horrible, why most people's custom maps are garbage, belittling people by saying things like "hey 'Super Mario' how's your Nintendo gaming going" . . .

Sorry! i have to disagree because i find that idea extremely unlikely within the confines of this forum///all i see here is a large group of people that have come together because of a common intrust in the world of tron*what i dont see is a political governmental structure based around opposing factions all arguing there points of view for the good or ill of the people each faction governs......................

Other videogame-communites are like 1000 - 1 Million members big. With government & opposition i gave you a hint what can be happening when a community is as small as Tron 2.0. We are speaking about the "online" & not "fan"community of Tron on this topic!

It's a naturally thing that it's impossible to fit with everybody & it's also very common that from 100 people 20 may have the desire to control & lead a group. Independent of the intentions they might bring a positive or an negative effect into the house. In small communities a so called leader easily can effect the environment.

Aslong as the leader will be respected there is no place for the truth or a real change. Exception IF the leader is NOT obsessed by egoistic thoughts. If the Tron 2.0 "online"-community would have been bigger the leaders wouldn't have any chance to effect a wider range as just a small group with a average of an usual playing clan.

Try to lead 100 people & you release you will need to find support. Otherwise the plans might not working. The same is with reallife politics. You need to find interested parties to accomplish your goals. That's how democracy does work. If Disney would have given real support to this community AND if this game would have been well-promoted the success-ratae would then match with the expected minimum of an usual videogame-community which far have more members than this.

Feel free to be arrogant. I don't feel offended by outsiders if they have a different opinion. You are smart & i don't blame you because you don't know the insides. Try not to think in a deeper instance because it could be irritating & then off-topic.

Discbot was my former opponent. We were talking on MSN (voicechat) together and guess what, ...after almost 1 year being not online it was him who was seeking me for giving a lifesign. Not you & not LDSO.

I start to release that Inode, Discbot, Avanze, Top etc... were authentic reliable mates to play. I think that somebody, who pretended to be a clever Mr.Niceguy, might have been my shadow who had the desire to direct the story on the gamegrid.

Don't change but let it be. If you learn this the life is much easier.
