Yep. The first Iron Man film is one of the few superhero films that helped redeem the genre. I'm looking forward to the sequel, and hope it doesn't disappoint.

Ahh yes, Ironman. The first was fabulous. However I'm reading some early review and (once again) hollywood had overlooked the most important part of a film: the script. With a novice screenwriter penning the sequal all of the reviews that I've read had been 2-stars. Shame really.

Well, for me, Iron Man 2 was a bit of a disappointment.
I'm not saying it was bad. Just not as good as the first one.
In the first film, you had the building of the crude suit and the escape, then building a better suit and testing it, then Stark against Stane as Iron Monger. It kept moving along, and kept your interest all the way through.
Suffice to say that the first half of the sequel pretty much went nowhere, then finally toward the end it became worth watching. It didn't manage to sustain interest like the first film did.

Yea, I've been hearing the same thing from reviews. I have yet to see it, I probably will next week.
I think the series will get lucky the 3rd time around, because as we all know Hollywood loves spitting out trilogies, so a 3rd one is to be expected. I think the folks in charge of the movie will notice what they did wrong here and fix it up for the 3rd one. This way they have the ability to look how both movies faired and figure out what works best.
Despite the reviews I'm still eager to see it!

The only thing I liked about this movie was Mickey Rourke. Every scene that he wasn't in bored me to tears. I almost fell asleep

. Shame too, I thought the 1st was pretty cool.
