Now why does that name sound familiar?

I was meandering on the internet reminiscing of the GEnie online service in the 90's that I thought let 50+ people play and what was the precursor to battlefield 1942 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GEnie and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Warrior.

This was created by Kesmai who was bought by EA Games (bf42 creator) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kesmai. We'll the founders of Kesmai in 1981 was Kelton Flinn and John Taylor. I couldn't help but think Kelton was the Kevin Flynn inspiration http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelton_Flinn for the original Tron movie released in July 1982. I wish I discovered this before talking to Lisberger at the trailer.

What do you think? Have you ever heard of this connection?

This is new to me (as a lot of things I see here are), however I've got to say this is a very nice find you have here! This IS an interesting connection.

Say, perhaps we should track Flinn down to help us find Flynn. Yea.

A friend found this guy as another alternative to the inspiration for Flynn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_J._Flynn, who came up with this computer architecture classification http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flynn%27s_taxonomy

Can the real Flynn step step up?
