Is there any use for them yet? Did anyone wear theirs to the movie? I haven't seen it yet. Was offered a free ticket tonight, but it was 2D so I passed.

I keep wondering if the code on the badge was ever meant to be scanned, and the magnetic strips on the postcards for that matter.

Didn't TRONatics (TRON fanatics/addicts?) wear them to the San Francisco event 1/2 yr ago or so with Bruce Boxleitner? A fun gimmick to show the crowds desire to overtake the ENCOM presentation.

I wondered if people who were given the cell phones were called up?

The QR code on the Encom badge was scanned and took u to a web site for the arg.
The badges were also worn for the San Fan Wondercon event.
If u had one on they put u in the pit right next to the stage for the mock press conferance.

The strip on the back of the postcards was used to unlock yet another web site.
If u used a black light it showed white squares in the black Strip.
When all of the squares were overlayed it spelled out a web address.

Other than that the postcards and landyards merely serve as a cool momento now.

If the ID card value to you as merely a piece of piece of plastic you can use it as a lock pic for certain locks.
If it worth way more than that then sell it or keep it or rent it.
