Hi!! DTX file! is there a easy way to open them to get at the texture goodness inside///i have tryed many programs like N3TexViewer ect***though none can do the job i have adobe photoshop CS3 and as i understand it there is mant to be a plugin you can get that allows one to open view and modify the texture while in photoshop true i really dont know.. as i have been unable to find such plugin or program thats up to the job...HELP!!!!

The Photoshop plug-in can be found in the TRON 2.0\TOOLS\PLUGINS folder. It's called DTXFormat.8bi.

After you copy the DTXFormat.8bi plug-in to the Photoshop plug-in folder, you also need to download these two files.

msvcirtd.dll
msvcrtd.dll

Extract the .DLL files from each .ZIP and put both in the same Photoshop folder where you put the plug-in. Then it should work.

Otherwise, you can use DEdit to convert between .DTX and .TGA formats. If you click the right mouse button on a texture you've selected in DEdit, you'll see options to import and export the textures.

Well!!! would you look at that!! looking rigth at me the all this time...plugins in tron_tools lol!! yeah i will try it out thanks tronfaq***and lucky for you i found a tutorial on how to convert DTX files using DEdit so i will not need to ask ///though i hope the photoshop plugins work ............
