We shall all remember the day July 24, 2008 as the greatest day in Tron-Sector/LDSO community history. Now, when you erect my statue I do not want it to be depicted as a Stalin-esque figure but rather an inspirational figure...

Hey, the game for Goldeneye was pretty sweet, and the game for Quantum of Solace looks awesome.Avi wrote:My other prediction is that the game for the movie will suck even harder. Almost all games based on movies are horrendous and feature no multi-player abilities. Look for single-player mode only, going through the plot with a few minor additions to make it slightly interesting. We won't be seeing each other on the grid on those new top-down Light Cycles in the trailer, unless they release the source code for Tron 2.0 and someone makes a model of them.

You know Disney and their marketing-startegies. It is like they are 100 feets tall wearing an iron-helmet, walking on an open field where there is nothing more at the badliest weather you can imagine.tronfaq wrote:I don't think lightning will strike twice, in both cases.

Very true! The original trailer for the movie "Apocalypto" featured an entirely different cast...which means that they shot some film to throw together a teaser for audiences, but then re-shot everything for the actual movie. You'd be surprised how often this kind of thing happens.data_ghost wrote: just 'cos its in the trailer doesnt mean its definitely in the film

I hope they retain the new Lightcycles gameplay. If it were a game, I'd buy it!Avi wrote:This little TR2N teaser is probably already on the cutting room floor as they make room for all new footage. The whole "It's only a game!", "Not anymore" is probably just a small meaningless vignette to get people revved up about the movie. Probably has nothing to do with the story at all.
