In TF2, I have had maps last from a minute to ten minutes. It just depends on the teams. It's definitely worth buying. Total mayhem and chaos all over the place.

And why are so many of you hung up on vehicles? Get a little exercise!

Not 30 seconds, but sometimes it's pretty close.

Saturday night, one match ended before I even realized that we had taken over a single control point. I was killed, switch classes, and the female announcer person said "Victory!" before I even made it back to the spot where I was killed. We just steamrolled the other team.
It also depends on how smart your team is. Three snipers and two Heavies aren't going to do much against an assorted pack of enemies. You really have to mix it up to be successful.
Either way, it's a lot of fun. The cartoon violence never gets old...giblets flying everywhere, people running around on fire, etc. It's best when it's a close game, and the majority of the fighting takes place in one concentrated spot as both teams try to push each other back, one step at a time.

Day of Defeat: Source usually acts the same way, but the game play is slower as compared to TF 2 (My guess). And it's much more realistic....you can't charge in and expect to live since a single hit of a regular rifle can kill you.

Yeah, those single-shot kills are ruthless.

All of the bolt-action rifles are pretty deadly. You can take a few hits in the torso or appendages from a Thompson and still live through it, although it's bad for your complexion. HurtSmiley

Instant justice. Notice my teammate about to turn 9Volt into gristle after he shot me through a cloud of smoke.

Does anyone have BigRed on their Steam list? I used to have him, but I think I accidentally deleted him while doing some spring cleaning of my Friends list.

He used to play by the name Bolt_Action_Robot or something like that. I know that he plays Day of Defeat Source a lot, and it would be one more person on our side when we get together.

This week, The Orange Box is only $30 at Best Buy. I hope some of you pick it up so that we can have more people when we play TF2.

It's definitely worth the money. Episode 2, Portal, and HL2 for ten bucks each! Do it!

I didn't get the orange box, but I did get portal. Therefore, I have steam.

My name is TronForever, because Steam doesn't like periods in usernames, lol.

Should I try to join Tron-Squad? :???:

EDIT: Nevermind what I said above, my name on Steam is, in fact, TRON.dll.

As much as it pains me to say it...I am formally inviting you to join Tron Squad on Steam. Sign up, and I will promote you to an officer.

BUT...

If you misuse the Announcements section to promote your Guitar Hero fetish, I will immediately kick and ban you forever.

lol, don't worry, my avatar says enough. :D
I was bored one day, so I bin2jpg'd all of the Brawl screens on my SD card and I found that picture of Bowser. I couldn't resist putting the 360 guitar in there. :P

Thanks for the promotion! :D

Just a heads up:

There's a pretty cool racing game called TrackMania Nations Forever. It's a free download via Steam, but I'm not sure where to find it now. Just look for that name on your Steam program and it should come up. There's also a pay version of the game, but we just play the free one.

Since your PC can now handle it, go pick up BF2 for ten bucks at Circuit City or Best Buy.

I d/l it from fileplanet, it's a pain waiting, but I got most of it instantly. 9volt found the Tron mod in it, and I had to get it. Thanks for reminding me btw, I just installed it.

I have the Trackmania Tron mod, but have yet to use it. I think it adds the name "Tron" to the posts in the middle of the road and changes the road a bit...there aren't any recognizers hovering above or a grid on the ground.
