I mean they made some really good singles with plenty of guitar in them, so there ought to be no excuses. :P

Yeah, definitely. And you can always do those instrumentals in the music studio mode. :D

I'm kinda curious as to how they're gonna do battles. Will the battle songs be full band songs, with bass, drums, lead, and singing, or will they be instrumentals with bass, drums, rythym, and lead?

Still no new announcements to my knowledge. :(

Updated that list on the first page with some Youtube links. Also, "I can't drive 55" has been moved to the Guitar Hero Community poster's rumored list, he says that Hagar said it would be in a guitar hero game, he didn't say which one, though.

Lots of new gameplay from GDC 08. Also some new songs confirmed, I'll add em later. :D

yey

Unfortunately they took out I can't drive 55 and love me two times. But the rest seems great, and they've promised a really good DLC service. :D

Sorry to bump this, but they've announced some launch DLC:

-Zack Wylde (spelling?) and Ted Nugent guitar battles will be available for free
-Metallica's Death Magnetic album will be available or automatically transfer over from GH3 if applicable.
-Classic rock pack with Rock 'N Roll Band (Boston), Hot Blooded (Foreigner), and Jessie's Girl (Bruce Springsteen)

Just tossin' that out. :D

So I made the Banjo Kazooie theme in World Tour's Music Studio:

Me and everyone else think it turned out pretty good, apparently.

Pretty decent for my first custom song. :D

Yeah, it's really open, too. The 360 and PS3 versions have an emulated Line6 POD for you to play around with when making songs. Pretty neat. :D

Here's my song, still number one:

Only bad thing about custom songs is that you can't play them online. Only locally. Pretty neat how you can do multiplayer in your songs, though. The game automatically adds in the star power sections, changes certain notes to hammer-on notes, and creates the Beginner, Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulties, which can be nice or inconvenient. Sometimes, there will only be one star power section in a song, and it'll be at the very end, lol.

Just for clarification, I made that on the Wii version, which does not have Line6 Pods. I'm still able to be awesome, though.

Thanks!

My next song will either be the Team Fortress 2 Theme, a Rickroll disguised as Stairway to Heaven, some other videogame song that's really awesome, or something original. Kinda leanin' towards the TF2 theme, though, and I've been checkin' out a lot of the music studio's sound sets. Pretty sweet. 8-)

I made the Blade Runner theme. Youtube vid coming soon. For the time being, you can experience the incredibly messed up version on the Guitar Hero Community website:

Trust me, it sounds 200 times better on the actual game. It's truly awesome.

So, basically:

I WIN
